- To provide and operate the Classly Eli service.
- To generate AI-powered lesson notes, homework, and progress reports on your behalf.

4. AI processing
Lesson content you submit is processed by an AI model to generate structured notes, homework, and recommendations. This content is processed on your behalf and is not used to train AI models. We take reasonable steps to ensure that AI-generated content is clearly identified as such.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:
- AI providers – lesson content is passed to our AI provider solely to generate your requested output.
- Hosting providers – our platform is hosted on Alibaba Cloud servers.
- Email service providers – used to send account and notification emails.
All third-party providers are required to process data only as instructed by us and in compliance with applicable law.
6. Student data
Tutors may add students to their account. Student data (name, lesson notes, progress) is visible to the linked tutor. Students should be informed by their tutor that their data is processed on the Classly Eli platform. Tutors are responsible for obtaining any necessary consent from students or their guardians before adding them to the platform.
7. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.
8. Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
